Víctor is a versatile and ambitious musician who lives in London. His performances include tours with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Ensemble 360 throughout England (including the Wigmore Hall), as well as recitals and conferences in Cario. He graduated from ESMuC and holds a Masters in Performance from the Royal College of Music in London with the best grade in his year. He has won the second prize in the Spanish Permanent Music Competition for Youth, the Concert Competition of the Royal College of Music and the contemporary music award at the Lucerne Festival, among others. He has performed at the Palau de la Música Catalana, Mendelssohn Remise in Berlin, Spikeri Concert Hall in Riga and the Royal Albert Hall in London. He was resident artist at La Pedrera in 2014/15 season and guest artist at L'Auditori de Barcelona in 2015/16 season.
His performances as a soloist include Copland´s clarinet concert with the Barcelona Symphony orchestra, National Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC) and One Tree Hill Symphony in London, a concert of Lindberg’s works with the RCM Philharmonic at the Amaryllis Concert Hall in London, an A. Shaw concert with the wind ensemble of the Superior Music Conservatory of the Balearic Islands and a performance of op.74 by C.M. von Weber with the Professional Conservatory Orchestra of the Balearic Islands.
Deeply engaged with contemporary music, he has premiered more than forty works, such as the opera Why Poets, by G. Pape. He has also performed at festivals such as Lucerne Festival in collaboration with IRCAM, Barcelona´Nou Sons, L’Auditori de Barcelona’s Sampler Sèries and the Archipel in Geneva. Recently, his recording of Bass Clarinet & Percussion by Morton Feldman has been released on the Neu Records label.
Víctor has been invited to perform as main clarinet for the London Philharmonic, Philharmonia Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra of Manchester, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Orquestra de Cadaqués, Royal Scottish National and Royal Birmingham Ballet. He has also played with the London Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and other orchestras from festivals in Verbier, Lucerne and Castleton being conducted by names such as Maazel, Haitink, Boulez, Rattle, Salonen, Nagano, Davies and Gatti. In the field of chamber music, he has played with numerous ensembles such as Kandinsky and Triarquia trios, and he is a founding member of CrossingLines Ensemble. He is also teaches clarinet at Balearic Islands´ Superior Music Conservatory and he is artistic director of the Mallorca Summer Academy.
