CROSSINGLINES
Ribera riera, feliu
Feliu Ribera first entered the world of music at the age of eight in the percussion classes of the Orfeó Laudate, under the baton of the master Àngel Colomer i del Romero, becoming later part of the Percussionist Youth Orchestra of Catalonia. His journey through the conservatories of Barcelona and Sabadell led him to graduate from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMuC), in the specialty of classical and contemporary percussion.
His professors have been Miquel Bernat (Drumming grupo de percussao), Georges-Elie Octors (Ictus Ensemble), Lorenzo Ferrandiz (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) and Grati Murcia (Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, Opera of València). He has also received masterclasses from Philipp Spiesser, Steven Sichk, William Moersch, Baart Quartier, Jeffery Davis and Jean Geoffroy, among others.
He has performed numerous concerts both nationally and throughout Europe, with ensembles such as CrossingLines, Frames Percussion, Orquestra de Cambra del Penedès, JONC Filharmonia, Cobla Sant Jordi Ciutat de Barcelona, Orquestra Nacional d'Andorra, Orquestra Terrassa 48 and Percussions de Barcelona. He has collaborated with the Institut del Teatre, the National Theater of Catalonia and the company Dagoll Dagom on a regular basis over the last ten years.
He has worked with the new generation of national composers such as Luis Codera Puzo, Manuel Rodríguez Valenzuela, Héctor Parra, Íñigo Giner and Óscar Escudero, as well as with many other recognized composers such as Michael Beil or Bernhard Lang. He is currently committed to the interpretation and propagation of new music with CrossingLines Ensemble and Frames Percussion, where he is producer, coordinator and manager. He also teaches at the Municipal Music School of El Prat de Llobregat, a project that immerses him in state-of-the-art pedagogy at the state level.
